Since yesterday there is no internet available at above post code and nearing areas in Brighton. I have O2 phone + O2 Wireless Dongle. This has repeated in last 2 months. Last time this happened, it stayed for a week. When I called customer service the lady first checked and told me that the mast is being worked and hence I am not getting internet.
When I said that this is repetitive issue she started reading out terms and condition that O2 cannot guarantee network coverage. If this is the way customers are handled I am sure O2 does not care for loyal customers. O2 can guarantee that they will take money off your account without any failure but when there is such failure in service (without any notification to users or on thier website) they wash their hand off flaunting terms and conditions. For any service disruption for more than 24 hours O2 should compensate users accordingly either by providing additional service or reducing the cost for the period of disruption caused.

That leads me to think a neighbouring mast is down and the one serving customer's postcode is being utlilised to take some of the load.
EDIT- Just read OP's post properly, if it's an issue that has been ongoing for a long period of time, and you can demonstrate that, then you should raise a complaint about the length of time it's taking to fix the issue.

the live status checker http://status.o2.co.uk says this for your postcode so o2 know there is an issue and will fix it when they can but you will get no more info from o2 about fix times etc.
