Yes you should have received a text confirming the discount had been applied.

If you're quick, you can just get one in now Guide: O2 Open & Friends and Family discounts - How to sign up

I thought they would normally send a text. It wouldn't appear until your second bill but check if you have a bolt on in My O2.
