New o2 sim showing no sim installed?

Got my new pay monthly sim today and gave customer service my pac code on Thursday  to take my previous number with me to o2.

My old virgin sim has now been disconnected so popped my new o2 one in but it's showing nothing, tried this on two phones.

It's now Sunday and they said the change will take place on Tuesday but I thought I would of still been able to use my new o2 sim until the day of the change?

When was the PAC code given and when did the Virgin SIM disconnect?

O2 don't port numbers Saturday and Sunday so, depending when you gave the code it could be Mon or Tue
