Hi all, I'm waiting with baited breath for the switch of my old (Vodafone) number to my new O2 phone. Pac code properly submitted around 2 pm yesterday so apparently it should switch by 6 pm today. BUT I keep getting text messages saying the switch has failed. What's going on? When I rang up, I'm told to wait for 6 pm but if it doesn't happen, it'll be well into next week before it can be resolved!

I was just wondering if anyone else is getting these weird messages - the support guy said he thought they were quite common!

Thank you - I shall check it out. Needless to say, the porting failed and I'm being given a runaround. Tempted to cancel as still in cooling off period. Don't need this hassle.

Just bare in mind, you will have the same problem with any network you try and port to, as Vodafone are notorious within the wider industry for porting issues, when customers port out from them...
I would check with Vodafone, as well that you can go back to them...

Thanks all - we finally got there altho I've not had any of the 'welcome' texts or emails that were promised but I can live with that!
