New contract same network want to keep number!

I have just bought 13pro via a company but still on the 02 network ( over £1000 cheaper than upgrade) I managed to get my pac code after a faff and gave that over so I could keep my original o2 number - the new  phone has arrived but with a new sim and number - I have t turned on yet as just done back up to Mac - but advice about how to do it welcome and to confirm I can defo keep my number ????

You will currently have both contracts running.

If you do a sim swap, you will still have two contracts running.

You need to call O2 to migrate your number from the old contract to the new one, which will automatically cancel the old contract.

Guide: Migration & porting into O2
