Hi, We've just moved house and now can't make calls or receive texts from our home. The coverage checker says coverage in the area is "good outdoors/ok indoors", however this is not the case. Is there anything O2 can do to change this in the immediate future, or will we need to change network? We're both part way through 24 month contracts, so will we have to pay to terminate the contract, considering we're not receiving the service that we're paying for? Thanks

We have blackberry torch, iphone4s and iphone4. I just turned the 3g off on the blackberry and it's gone crazy receiving messages, so I think that's made a difference. Thanks for that. Still nothing on the iphones though!

Check for local issues http://status.o2.co.uk
are you turning 3g off?

Thanks for your quick response. However, based on information on the O2 website, we should be able to get ok coverage in our home. I don't think its right for O2 to say coverage is available in an area, when it isn't.

The coverage checkers are based on computer model prediction.
Various things affect moibile signals and building construction can be a killer these days with all the building regs foil backed insulation etc.
If you do not want to post a postcode on here send me a pm I will look at what the coverage predictor says and the status page just in case there are local issues

if in a borderline 3g area then yes as 2g900 gets into buildings better than 3g2100
What phones do you have
