Mobile contract and 4g watch help

I already have an 02 phone contract but fancy a 4g watch. Looks like I have to finish my phone device contract before I can get the watch with 02 is that correct?

You can buy a watch at any time. If you want data and are thinking of linking the watch to your phone, you will pay an additional £5.00 a month for the data plan.
