Are you using a PAYG or a Contract SIM in your phone, @GAT1?

Roaming in most European countries with O2 is free, up to 25GB per month for up to 63 days, no specific bolt on required - but as countries remove their older 3G infrastructure, you may find that you need to use some 4G features, or 5G, which are unavailable to O2 PAYG customers.

I fo here: Guide: Roaming MegaGuide @GAT1 - and if you have an iPhone, you may find your APN is incorrect for roaming.

@GAT1

If you were using a dongle, they don't work abroad.

If you are referring to your phone,

Some things to try:

Check data roaming is on in phone settings.

Manually search for another network

Turn off 5g

Change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"

Check with O2 whether you have a roaming bar on your account. Do this via social media

If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (X)( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
