Is this genuine?

You have a pending security update on your account.

 

Visit [link removed for safety] to avoid any future network disruption.

It sounds like a scam to me. I'd avoid clicking on any link purporting to come from O2 in an email. If you want to check your account, go directly to the O2 website and log in there. You should report the suspicious email here: http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/scam-emails

This most definatly looks like a scam to me, Id stay well clear.

 

If you are concerned over your account security, i'd contact o2 personally.

 

Also reporting the email on the link above is a great idea

Please remove the link in the OP's original post, Toby. It points to a site called megawik.com, which is obviously where the scam originates from. If you leave it in the post someone could inadvertently click on it.
