Insurance claim

Hi, I have started an insurance claim today as my phone is water damaged.  I was told I will receive a new phone tomorrow & I am to hand the damaged phone in an open package to the delivery driver & I am to write the reference number on the front of the package which would be emailed to me. The email I received had an attachment which will not open.  There is no reference number in the email. I dud have a txt with a claim number. Do I put the claim number as reference number? If not what should I do

The deliver driver will have the reference number. Put the claim number on the envelope for now and when the delivery driver comes, ask him for reference number and add it then.
