Hi, I would like some help with this please.

I just got a message that I subscribed for a service providing gif stickers for £4.50 a week.

I was browsing on the internet and visited a site when suddenly windows popped up and then instantly got this text without clicking on anything (I was just trying to close the pop-ups):

'Thank you for subscrbing to globalcams.world for £4.50 every week from Ferdamia until you text STOP to 83463.'

I did text STOP to this number. Even though the charge hasn't showed up yet to my pay montly account I am sure it will (only happened 30minutes ago).

I din't opt in for this, it actually happened in seconds and I would like to ask O2 to please block the £4.50 charge or recall it.

I do not even understand how they got my number, obviously unauthorised and scam.

Many thanks

@chriskal Please take a look at this link: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Have-you-fallen-for-or-been-conned-into-a-premium-rate-s...

Also take a look here: https://payforitsucks.co.uk/

You can also request that O2 put a bar on premium rate numbers on your account.

Thank you for your responses. I did contact O2 this mormimg and asked to bar the premium rate numbers.

I also checked the links which are useful. I called the company and they said they would forward my request to the refunds team who supposedly will call me back within 48 hours to arrange refund. Not so sure that this will happen but I will definitely chase them. I am sure that so many people have been charged like me without any consent and it is definitely wort it chasing them and not letting them get away with it...

I agree @chriskal It certainly is worth chasing up. Be persistant with the company who charged you and they should refund you wink
