Google Pixel Smartwatch Plan

Hello,

I've searched other articles for an answer to this, but they seem quite focused on those who have purchased Samsung watches directly from o2, so apologies if this information already exits somewhere!

At the beginning of April I'm looking to move from Plusnet to a network that can provide 5G data with esim capabilities.

Assuming there aren't any major changes to the offers available before April, there's a lovely 15GB 5G plan I've got my eyes on for my Pixel 7 phone. A dealbreaker for me is that the new network I choose must also be able to provide me with an additional esim plan for my Pixel smartwatch.

Could you let me know the precise steps I'd need to take once I've signed up to the 15GB plan for my phone, so I can quickly get set up with a plan (e.g. 1GB) for my Pixel watch (assuming this would be possible). Is there somewhere I can see the prices for these additional watch data plans? Could I arrange this all online and over the phone, or would I have to venture instore.

Thanks in advance for your help.

So yes, I begrudgingly switched to Vodafone from 02, just so that I could use my Pixel 2 LTE watch.

I wonder what's blocking 02 from being a supported network by Google?

Also irritating is that I have to pay an additional £7.50/month to Vodafone for the privilege of having that eSIM on my Pixel 2 watch, on top of the £10/month SIM-only phone plan I've signed up for.

Oh well, it's only money 😕

@spaceman

You'd still have to pay O2 £7.00 a month for the same watch plan so not too much extra to pay for it to work.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

As I have said before:

The only thing that is stopping o2 is Google @spaceman they did a deal with Vodafone and BT to offer the watch on there LTE networks...

People are constantly asking on the pixel communities, as to when other networks will be supported, and it is met with a wall of silence.

A lot of EU and Asian countries are missing completely...

Vodafone used to only charge a few quid back in the day...

You need to chase Google as they have done exclusive deals with the networks they have chosen, and if you look on the Pixel Community it is one of the most asked questions - which networks will be added next...

Of course, the answer @madasaf1sh might well be that no other networks will be added, or not for a long time anyway, if Google have done long term or permanent exclusive deals with other networks.

Silly question but can you pair a Vodafone/EE watch with an O2 phone?
