Getting emails and texts everyday about a voucher expiring

Hello,

So for the last couple of days I've been getting emails and texts from O2 saying "Just letting you know your NCBUYOUT**** (censored just in case) will expire on 11/09/2024."

I have absolutely no idea what this voucher is for. I'm at the end of my device's contract, so I'm wondering if it has anything to do with that.

Thanks in advance to anybody who might have some answers for me!

@JustJaedis

Never heard of it so the only people who would know are O2.

Thanks for responding! I'll definitely get in touch with them to enquire about it.

I definitely agree with you, having read through the link you posted it may very well be that! I'll update this post once I've spoken to O2.

I've just had this message this morning (24 June 2025).  I've checked on my O2 account and there's nothing there about a voucher. t's a scam and appears to be still going on.

@Jules47 @JustJaedis @Plaige @Millarl

We’re told These codes are linked to an offer of Get £100 off your selected Samsung Galaxy S24.

 To redeem the customer can use the code when signed into My O2 or in a store.  The customer needs to make sure they have at least £100 to pay on the phone in the basket to remove it using the promo code.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

It's not a scam, just a monumental just O2 screwing up

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

If anyone searched before posting they would see around 50 or so posts with the same answers too.
