I had a text message earlier from O2 offering me 6 months free Amazon music. I have to text AMAZONM to 21500, but when I try to do this a box flashes up saying "MESSAGING would like to send a message to 21500. This may produce fees. CANCEL or SEND"

I have never seen this before. Will I be charged for the text?

It is because you are a texting a shortcode and texting the 21500 number doesn't cost anything, I texted the same offer earlier today and haven't been charged.

My husband has received this offer but I haven't, even though we are on the same tariff and joined O2 at about the same time. If he sends the text to get the offer, will we be able to apply it to my Amazon account? All the Amazon kit in the house is registered to my Amazon account so we'd need the music offer on my account as well. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Yes, as the code is applied to the Amazon Account, and it asks you to sign in to Amazon.

@RRowley5

You can't add it to an existing amazon music subscription.

You would need to cancel it first if you already have one.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks for your help.

We don't already have a music subscription and would like to try it.
