Hi

This is probably a dumb question, but I’m going to ask it anyway.

I just upgraded my contract with O2 to one that includes 6 months of free Apple Music.

My question is; I already have a subscription to Apple Music. If I was to redeem this 6 months free, does that mean O2 will pay for the next 6 months of my subscription? Or would I be starting a second subscription to Apple Music?

You need to cancel your current subscription with Apple, then, at the end of the current billing period, start a new one by redeeming the O2 offer.
