I meant to redeem my free Extra but selected the paid for version in error. I have immediately cancelled the paid for version, but am concerned that I will still be charged. I cannot contact O2 on this matter due to restricted help on chat / 202.

As long as it's been confirmed it's cancelled you won't be charged.
