Hi there. Is it possible to top up the balance from EU banking account? My British banking account card already expired, but I will come back only in the middle of July.

Dear O2,

Recently back from 6 months in France. we used data roaming for Internet and it was VERY slow. Two networks came up, Bouygues or Orange, both just as bad, even when signal good (three or four out of five). And choosing 3G or not made no discernable difference. Did find that getting up early (6am) was a lot better, the connection got worse until at 8am it was as bad as ever, in fact on that occasion it became unusable and dropped out. At no time during the 6 months did we get a good connection, it was always slow or no connection. We both have O2 and same problems on both phones. (Our neighbours there have ADSL landline service but it too is poor quality - there did seem to be some correlation - bad landline days often seemed to be bad mobile data days, and never a good day.) The part of France we were in is 24610 Montpeyroux, Dordogne. It appears to me (retired Telecoms Engineer) that this probably indicates a bottlneck in the French network, i.e. a lack of capacity locally. Please advise if this problem with your partners networks is being addressed and when service is scheduled to improve - we plan to return next year and would like good Internet for our iPhones and iPad and laptop. Please advise.

Yours,

Stephen D. Cox

You will need to address your question to o2 directly, I would suggest on this link http://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain.

Can I just point out, after checking this guide again, that it still does not contain any of the countries starting with S. (Spain, San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland et al)

These were missed at the time of writing in February and a request was made to unlock the thread to include them... It doesn't appear to have been amended so the information is incomplete.....
