E173 Dongle Windows 8 Connection Issues

E 173 Dongle worked perfectly well on computers and laptops running XP, Win 7, standard and ultimate editions; would show all wifi networks in area or connect to 3G.  Have updated computer to Win 8 [-64 bit] OS; now having connection problems. Can only connect to 3G, home WiFi no longer detected -- No wifi networks detected at all !!!

 

Have un-installed connection manager and reinstalled -- still same problem.

Have un-installed again, downloaded updated version [8.8] from O2 site and reinstalled that connection manager, only to find -- still the same problem !!!

 

Done all the checks on Win 8; Airplane mode disabled; checked network and sharing centre; checked adapter -- it is enabled.

 

Can Anyone help ?

It should work with Won 8, I would try removing the software and re-installing it with your firewall and anti-virus turned off.
