Received a text from "O2UK" saying the following and not sure if it's legit - anyone able to help? It seems like O2 used to do this but you had to text a different shortcode:

Hello NAME, here's 6 months of a Disney+ Standard subscription on us, just as a little thank you for being with us. Text DISNEY6 to 60310 to redeem. Offer ends 6-August-2025. Auto-renews at £8.99 a month after 6 months. Cancel anytime. 18+. Terms apply. See o2.co.uk/disneyofferterms To stop texts, call 2220.

I totally agree with Cleoriff, the text wording "here's 6 months of a Disney+ Standard subscription on us, just as a little thank you for being with us", is completely misleading. At the very least it should have been transparent and mentioned the exact cost of texting in that text. I wonder how many customers living on the breadline texted that number thinking they would be charged 35p, only to discover they're charged somewhere in the region of £1 to £5. Quite often little things like that for people on the tightest of budgets, can send them overdrawn and they get bank charges without realising. Not a good look for you 02. If you're giving something away free, then make it FREE.

Yes, well - O2 did use a chargeable number for the O2 PAYG top-up line, until challenged... Chargeable 0845 was removed, Included in tariff 0345 inserted

So perhaps you, @Bob_Dobbs, could share this with them as done above:
