Hey! I’m moving home soon and will need to use my phone as a hotspot for internet. I’m a customer service agent so will be on a laptop answering phone calls and email queries. I usually work a seven hour shift. Does anyone know how much data one day would use roughly please?

Difficult to say without knowing which systems you use.

Probably best to ask your IT dept.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Depends on what CRM, Back End Tools such as Citrix, and VOIP service your company use.

And to be honest its going to be garbage, as latency, dropped packets, VPN tunnelling etc will only add to a poor experience.

I have seen VOIP take between for a 1 minute call upto 2Mb/ per minute,, that if the call doesn't drop and the quality may be very poor.

Plus the updates your company will send to you computer that you can't stop.

My advice go to the office, where you git Gigabit+ Egress and sit on the companies infrastructure or ask your employer if they can BT to put in a enterprise connection.  Otherwise you need to look at some super geeky solutions and cost.

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK
