Customer Loyalty

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have been a customer of O2 for 22 Years (cellnet/bt cellnet/o2 etc) and always found them helpful in upgrades and retaining good customers.

I have been out of contract for 3 years+ still paying the line rental and monthly cost of the handset (silly me - I know). Thats 500mb of data for £40 a month x 36 months! I know, could have bought a couple of handsets with that money! But hey ho!

Have decided to get a sim only deal so I do not trip up again. Just called O2 for the best deal and they can't match other providers to the sum of £5 a month. So despite pointing out how many years I have been loyal and how much I have overpaid for the last 3 years...still not able to match a deal for 20GB data.

It's a shame as I have always found them competitive hence the reason I have stayed for so long. Is it me or are other customers finding that customer loyalty counts for nothing!

PAC code in hand I have not option but to leave!! upside_down

Yep, loyalty counts for naught these days I'm afraid.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

It's a shame that loyalty means absolutely nothing these days. You were unlucky though, I managed to get a loyalty discount from them when I asked for my PAC. As always, it depends on who you speak to.

I tried asking for a manager/supervisor but was declined access to anyone else. Such a shame!

Glad you managed to get a deal though.

@Anonymous  Although loyalty counts for nothing these days, call customer service again and press the option for 'thinking of leaving'. If you're lucky you might get a sympathetic person and get some sort of discount. If not, if you know your coverage would be good with another provider, get your PAC and move on. You don't owe O2 anything if they won't play ball with you.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
