In leaving my employer I'm looking at getting a contract in my own name. £21 p.m sim only. Completed paperwork but have been told that I have failed credit check. Obtained report from Equifax but nothing showing as an issue. Can't speak to anyone and have emailed credit referral team but haven't heard anything back. Any ideas? Very frustrating.

@Gary869

O2 will never discuss the reasons why but there are many factors that O2 may apply which are different to other credit agencies.

You also need to allow 10 working days for them to get back to you.

They may ask you to pay a refundable deposit first.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks for your reply. I guess that I will just have to sit it out. I did get a copy of my credit report from Equifax through Clearscore and there is nothing jumping out at me. Can only assume that there may have been a mistake. Thanks again.

I don't appear to be getting anywhere fast. Not sure what the problem is. Martin-O2 are you able to have a look into it for me please.

Thanks @Cleoriff !

@Gary869 Sure I can see what I can find out for you. When was it you first emailed the credit referrals team?

Thanks @Cleoriff. Last Tuesday was when I initially contacted them. They emailed me on Thurs through secure portal adking for address, dob etc. I replied the dame day. My concern is that everytime they adk a question and you reply, you have to wait a minimum of 3 days. If i cannot resolve this within the next few days then I face the prospect of losing my number. I've apparently failed a credit check but can't actually see that one has been done, not according to Equifax. I'm only after a SIM only contract anyway.
