I am having a lot of trouble with CreditFileReferrals@o2.com - there is a default that is incorrect and with an agency, however neither O2 or the agency are claiming responsibility to have this default removed.
Can anyone suggest advice other than the email above as this is not really doing the trick. I am having trouble getting my mortgage so any advice that can speed up the process would be appreciated.
@Martin-O2 I am looking at you for help on this

Hi
I'm having a lot of trouble with Credit referrals. I'm trying to buy a new O2 plan through carphone warehouse but it says I have failed the credit check. I rung the agency but they don't seem to know why I have failed the credit check either as I didn't have any of the factors outstanding and said a manual check but I'm unsure what to do and I need the phone for business.
@Martin-O2 can you help?
Thanks.
Hannah

Have you checked your credit file yourself to see if there is anything detrimental on there?
There are agencies online that give free checks without affecting your credit score.

Hey @HannahC. Normally our credit referrals team deal with credit file issues for existing customers and won't be able to provide a detailed reason why a particular person failed a credit check.
As @jonsie mentioned above there are several credit reference agencies that you can contact to get an idea of why credit was refused.
This can be due to past issues paying things back or even a lack of previous credit. Along with Clearscore the 3 main agencies are listed below and I'd suggest contacting one or more of these as a first step.
Equifax
Experian
Callcredit

Thanks @Martin-O2 @jonsie
I ran that already and it says my score is very excellent hence the confusion!!
Any other ideas on how to resolve this?
Thanks in advance.
