Did you mean:

Compensation for wait times and why I'm leaving. So should you

Anonymous

Records:

Called yesterday: 15 minutes and no one picked up
Called again: Yet another 10 minutes
Web chat: 10 minutes before anyone responded then immediately disconnected.
Called today: 15 minutes on hold still no answer

How do I get compensation for a company that is charging its users to call in?! On top of this, having been with them for over 8 years, they do not even offer any deals on their products.

I have had enough of O2

EDIT: I would like to point out that I have to call from a Landline because there is no signal in my area. I have, for the past couple of years living in this new place been unable to receive and make calls from my mobile phone

Hi

Are you on contract, if so, calls to o2 from your mobile are free.

What issues are you having, maybe we can help?

On some PAYG tariffs 4445 is free too.

We have heard of people waiting 1-2 hours to get through to Customer services by Dial 202.

Online live chat is ok for non account based enquiries.

As said if it's not account based as we are all customers here, can the forum help at all?

O2 do give GoodWill Gestures for certain situations such as Network Down time and they do have an online complaint process if customer services via phone call cannot help.

adriannadavey Maybe you can answer because I can find no information online.

1. Will O2 match the price (both upfront cost, contract and data) of the new provider I will be going with?
2. If so, what other deals are they able to offer me. To be quite frank, for them to offer a match and nother more is quite an insult. After being with them for 8 years, the best they can say is that? Ha.
3. How easy is it to transfer my number to a new provider?

My contract ends in 4 days

Yes it is.

If your contract is coming to an end then speak to retentions with the other deal at hand ready to send to them. Unfortunately that means you need to stick with ringing 202.

Ref transfer of number via pac code http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Discussions-Feedback/Obtaining-a-PAC-Code-from-the-O2-Network/m-p/54427...

We have had many customers on here recently...complaining of the wait times to get through

Sadly loyalty to O2 will not get you a better deal....

The best you can probably do is request your PAC code and move to another network. Not the advice you want to hear but if you can get a better deal elsewhere and a good signal there is no reason you should be staying with O2 imo

As I am a customer myself I can't look into your account but if I'm honest, O2 most likely won't match the price of the new provider. But you won't know until you speak to retentions.

Also, if you want to use your old number on a new network, you will need your PAC code.

You give the PAC code to the new provider and the number transfer will take probably couple of days.

Remember, the PAC expires 30 days after being issued. You can try live chat to get your PAC code.

As your thinking of migrating to another Network -> Can i add if you do transfer then please do check out the other networks via their PAYG SIM cards to ensure you get good signal where you live , work and commute.

If your phone is locked to O2 then Unlock your phone here to be able to use other network SIM cards. Link to the form is in this link http://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-and-devices/unlocking-your-iphone-and-using-it-on-another-network

Hi and welcome

There is so much in your story that we hear often. Takes ages to get through. Poor signal. Deals that are not competitive. The list goes on. ....

But - what I don't get is why you would want to sign into another two years if you don't get signal / can't make calls etc???? Are there any other networks that provide service in your area / areas you go to? If so I would change and get a decent signal.
