Checkout Error: Looks like something went wrong. Should I call O2?

Hi

I've been trying to buy a new handset for the past week but each time I got through to the end of checkout I get an error page "Looks like saying something went wrong". I've tried several times on different days with the same outcome.

Given our current situation and the extra work load on O2 I wasn't going to ring customer services as prompted but I've now seen that each time I attempted my purchases they went through on my PayPal and my bank as 'pending payments'.

It hasn't taken payment as it's waiting for O2 to compltete the purchases but I don't want O2's system to put the tranactions through and charge me for 4 phones as that's a large chunk of bank ballance!

I don't want to unnecessarily clog up the phone lines so thought I'd ask:

1. Is it something I should call about anyway?

and

2. Has anyone got any suggestions or advice?

I'm trying to buy a pay as you go phone upfront and have used explorer and chrome on both laptop and phone with the same result.

Thanks

Stay Safe

Mark

Looks like you should contact the sales team as they can help with that – message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

I’m having the same issue now tried calling up and chat online but no help, they told me to delete cookies and clear cache but I tried from 4 different phones so it’s not the cache or cookies issue, I’m trying to purchase Samsung projector , cheeky sods gave me a number to call and they will help out the order through step by step but tried calling them and my mobile blocked the number as was premium, then when asked they failed to tell me by the way it’s 69p per min service!!!!

Try using Incognito mode in your browser. It helps if you sign in to o2.co.uk first, and do not login to the community on the same browser until you're done in the online O2 Shop, @Papalote. If it still fails, then an O2 Store or contact the O2 Sales Team via Social Media on one of the links below this post. Good luck!
