I have just received a bill of £184 for both mine and my husbands mobile phones for use in the Dominican Republic 10/11-17/11. Spoke to customer services and was told that even using O2 travel add on that the Dominican is not one of the countries that is part of this!
Was told I can find the details on the website but unable to do this - can anyone help please?
Apparantly the number 07802000332 is a "directory" that the Dominican intercepts then transfers the text etc to the receipient???
Maybe my naivety but customer services said I should have contacted them first and they would have told me that hefty charges would have applied?

All charges here http://international.o2.co.uk/internationaltariffs/travelling_abroad
Dominican Rep is not included in O2 Travel Inclusive as far as I can see, just regular O2 Travel.

As for the number 7802000332
Its the message centre number...when you send texts from abroad..
And when your bill is showing in My O2 you should be able to see the number there...
Also, to correct the O2 CS person you spoke to, the Dominican Republic IS covered by O2 Travel. See here

No, but the op just said O2 Travel, not O2 Travel Inclusive. (though add on was mentioned)
Either way O2 travel was available so they should have been charged £4.99 per day had they activated it.
Then they wouldn't have had such a hefty bill.

Thank you very much. I thought it would be covered as my husband used the O2 travel. Think I need to get back in touch with them.

Check the links I gave you in my first reply.
They cover charges for all options either with or without O2 travel, O2 travel inclusive or nothing.
