Changing ring tone callers hear when I am abroad

Anonymous

My question is :- ‘is it possible to change the ring tone that callers here when they ring me on my iphone 6’?

I live in Northern Ireland, when I am down in the Irish Republic I am treated by O2 as being abroad and if someone rings me they get the same ring tone as if I was in mainland Europe.

Sometimes due to the nature of my work I do not want certain callers to know that I am in the Republic. Is there a way to change this?

Any help would be appreciated

Only if you can route your calls through a home network phone first before setting that to divert to your phone.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

And I also presume you'll get hit with any roaming charges for calls/sms too?
You could turn turn phone off and leave everything to voicemail until you cross back, but that would defeat the point of having a phone unless you got a local phone and used TUGo?
