Cannot access Priority after transferring old number

Anonymous
Not applicable

I switched to O2 last week and wanted to keep my number from my old network. After using a temporary O2 number for two days, the old number was switched across easily but now I'm unable to sign up for O2 Priority. When I enter my transferred number it says "we couldn't find this number. Priority is only for O2 customers", and it's no use entering the temporary number instead because I don't receive the confirmation code.

Is there any way around this?

Hi @Anonymous It's probably due to your number transfer and the O2 database hasn't caught up yet...

Have a look at these Priority FAQ's https://priority.o2.co.uk/faq

You could try deleting the Priority app and re-installing it...

If you still can't register after a couple of days then contact customer services http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

It takes 2-3 days for the number to register on the system. Try again in a few days and you should have no problem.

Patience is required as far as O2's systems are concerned.
Usually a week for every system to get updated with your phone number so some will come online before others.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
