@Anonymous When you cancel O2 Travel, make sure you go into settings and turn mobile data off on your phone. If you are out of range of your WiFi connection you will incur roaming charges at a higher rate if you don't.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

If you want to opt-out, you can do so at any time by texting “NOTRAVEL” to 23336. It can take up to 24 hours for O2 Travel to be removed from your account.

If you do opt-out of O2 Travel, you’ll automatically be charged standard European roaming rates for all calls, texts and data usage when travelling.

I'm not sure if the shortcodes work outside of UK though ?

True, but we can safely assume it's in the EU

I honestly don't think short codes work when out of the country. I know when I have tried to vote in a reality show (yeah yeah) it's not recognised.

Mind you I have never tried an O2 short code?

I didn't suggest it originally for the same reason, but maybe @Anonymous could try it and confirm one way or the other?
