Cancel O2 wifi service!

Hello, a few weeks ago i was given an offer about the O2 free wifi service and i was sent a sim card, but ive realised i do not need this offer anymore and i would like to cancel it and cancel my direct debit with you, so there is no money taken from my account. My phone is not available at the moment so i cant call to cancel it, can i do it online please?

@KB1 this is a customer to customer forum. No one here can change your contract. Your post is a little confusing as well. O2 WiFi is free, so what have you signed up for?

Hi @KB1 This is a customer to customer forum so you do need to contact O2. Sadly there is no way to cancel direct debits online ...you do need to call. Contact numbers here including phoning from a landline

Edited to add re O2 Wifi you dont have to cancel that...just dont use it

@Bambino I am also just wondering what direct debit the op needs to cancel? If they are talking about a contract for a phone with O2 then of course that debt will need to be paid off before any cancellation takes place...

You have 14 days to cancel a contract, that is the legal cooling off period. After that, you must pay the full amount of the contract either by continuing monthly payments or by making a full one off payment.

As the OP said 'a few weeks ago' it sounds as if they are past the cooling off period. I doubt there's anything that can be done, but in any event they need to speak to customer service.
