Ships generally use satellite systems to enable you to get a signal. This is why it's expensive. Your best bet is to phone TUI and ask for a list of prices and if they have any special mobile phone packages available. wink

Your best option is to switch the phone off altogether on ny cruise ship. Even the ship's wifi is expensive. It's much better to wait until you are in port before switching it on and well away from the boat.
