Calling Abroad

Hi Anyone n Everyone

I have just got reinstated with a very good friend from Schooldays and would like to call them at least -once a week -to see how they are and catch up on old times.

Now without putting a BOLT-ON such as Friends abroad etc as my Contract is as it is- I believe I can just purchase a PHONECARD to use (from O2 stores etc) and be able to call at a cost of 2p per text or minute (??)

This seems quite cheap and worth it --But  my Friend there has stated that it WONT BE to HIM as he will get charged a CONNECTION CHARGE on HIS MOBILE CELL PHONE - so although its cheap to ME -it'll cost them dear ??

IS THIS CORRECT ???

Cost, if any, for receiving will depend on your friends network......

If you both install Skype or Viber you can talk to each other for free over a WiFi connection.
