Buying memorable numbers (Gold /Platinum) or batch of memorable numbers

Anonymous

Good afternoon

Does anyone know how or who to contact with regard buying trade or wholesale from O2?  I have spoken to customer services who have advised me of the prices for a Platinum number from the network but at £1000 not at all competitive. The gold numbers at £500 can be picked up off of EBay for £60 to £100!

Also does anyone have contacts who deal with memorable numbers who would be prepared to share that info.  Basically I am looking for a steady supply of these numbers from a RELIABLE supplier whether O2 or not.

Any help or suggestions gratefully received.

Great advice... exactly why I bothered joining a forum like this.

What are you expecting.

You know how to officially get the numbers from via O2, and how much they are.

You know where to pick up the numbers for a lot less money, not via the O2 route.

What else is their to say ?

Don't know

If you know where to "pick them up from" then follow your own advice.

DutyFreeDave

we are not o2 employees here. We are o2 customers. If we have the solution we will provide it. However in this case it appears you have the answers or at least better ones that we can provide.

I am sorry if we are unable to assist. Why don't you try writing to Telefonica UK Business Solutions to see if they can assist? ??

Dutyfreedave appears to be a dealer so it's unlikely that O2 would do that kind of business.

I doubt any major network would.

We've discussed this before on another thread, but personally, I don't see the point in having a memorable number. Once I put someone's number in my phone it's there and forgotten about. I go to my contacts, look it up there, and press call. I don't manually dial numbers, and I don't know many people who do. Maybe they're good for businesses, but for personal use they're a waste of money. Just my opinion, though.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I tend to agree although I got a number which is worth quite a bit purely on the off chance as a number change I once had to have slight_smile
