Thanks for confirming that for us. It's no wonder customers are confused. All it takes is for advisers to be given full information on data allowances and caps, and for this same information to be published on the O2 website.

No problem official advice I finally got is as follows mid term upgraders to iPhone 4 or any other phone keep the unlimited Internet for another 12 months from day of upgrade if on older tariff. If in a years time you renew your contract that drops to 500mb if your on a old tariff like medium business frequent. Took some time but got there in the end.
