The reason I ask is that the app Bambino has suggested won't work or appear in BlackBerry World on a BB10 phone

On BB10, and if you are happy to not make or recieve calls to anyone who isn't in your contacts list you can do the following:

Go to Settings > Security and Privacy > Parental Controls.

Turn on Parental Controls

Select "Phone calls from contacts only" and/or "Text messages from contacts only"

Press Back and now so long as the nuisance number isn't in your contacts you won't hear from them again

Thanks for the clarification PapaDug. When I found the app I only looked at the support for carriers and countries. Didn't look for specific device. I'm sure your suggestion will be of use to the OP.
