I received a text yesterday from 44790007831. It told me that there was a problem accessing my account to pay my bill and to go to http:/02biling.com.
I checked online account and all seemed fine. I was also suspicious about the misspelling of Billing!.
I went on to live chat and confirmed that the text had not been sent by 02. But what concerns me is the lack of concern from the live chat person and also how they knew I was an 02 customer.
No information was taken from me about this scam and therefore no action will be taken by the phone company to deal with it.
Our account details should be kept more secure too.
I tried to find a way to report the scam to o2 but there is nowhere on the myo2 site that I could find other than this forum!
Poor show really!!

O2 on twitter have sent out this alert. This is a snip as I don't have an active twitter account.

(Also it won't direct you to a dodgy link)

PS I originally saved this as 'O2 Phishing alert' It wouldn't let me upload it as 'I used a bad word' ie Phishing Smiley Very Happy
