Hi,

I have 2 phones on my account. One for son. I want to buy an O2 Apple Watch as a gift for him. It’s asking me which number I want to link the watch to in the account. 
If I choose my number ( so he doesn’t get a purchase or delivery report, it’s a surprise). Will he be able to use it with his number and phone? Or will it be linked to my number and only link to my sim?

It will be linked to your number and your device as the charges will be applied to your account. 

 

Best option for gifting is to buy from Apple Direct.

It will be linked to your number with no way to change it until you pay it off.

You can buy on credit from Apple to avoid such issues.
