Hi, Could someone please help me? I have had a call from the number 0344 826 0202. The caller, Elenor said she was from O2 and wanted to offer me an upgrade as I had taken my contract out with Carphone Warehouse and O2 no longer work with CW. I didn't take an offer of an upgrade but asked the caller to send me an email. The address I received it from was "o2savedbasket@o2mail.co.uk". Could someone please let me know if this is genuine? Or a number I should report?

 

I am not due an upgrade for 10 months and the caller knew a lot about my account details which I found worrying from a cold-call.

 

I have recently reported my phone lost which I find very suspect that O2  would call 2 days later to make this offer.

 

Any help here would be appreciated. Thank you.

The email is a genuine O2 domain email address.

You can call back on 202 to confirm it was O2 who contacted you.
