I’ve had a call from this number 01558 333026 offering a 40% discount on o2, he seemed offical but put it down anyway, but has anyone else had this phone call?

It's a well known scam.
Block the number and do not follow any links.
Forward the number to 7726 - It's free.

Report the number to 7726 and you did the right thing, in putting the phone down on these nuisance's.

Agree sounds like a scam.  If you are ever unsure you can always call O2 Customer Services and ask if this is something they are offering too so you know if they are dealing with it directly.
