panasonic headphones not working on samsung galaxy a3 2017

Hi all,

I have a new Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 and my usual headphones (Panoramic) do not work. Makes a click, click, click sound. The Samsung headset works ok. My headphones work fine on other devices.

Any ideas most appreciated!!

Sounds like Samsung have changed the pin configuration again. They did this on the S3 a few years ago and the only headphones that would work properly were Samsung ones.
You can get an adapter though but you need to know which configuration the phone socket is using.

Thankyou

I didn't understand what you meant by this, but after a long and painful rant with Samsung who were no help whatsoever and a Google search I now think I know what you mean by pins!! I am hoping an adapter will solve this!! The Samsung seem s to have an aux pin that my panasonic doesn't. Thankyou x
