Any tips for getting O2TRAVEL to work in Australia?

I've added the O2TRAVEL bolt on but my iPhone still won't work on 3G in Oz - any advice? Can never get hold of O2 because of time difference! I've never had any problems in Europe, so annoying!

If calls and texts are working there's nothing wrong.
It's just o2 travel data that is so slow it's not worth bothering with.
