My granddaughter has given me her old blackberryand I have tried to connect to the internet, it finds my router but sends a code which I have to put into the router, but how do I do that?

You should only need to use a pass code or network key on your phone to connect the router.

Bluetooth might produce a code to be entered on a pc, are you using that and not Wi-fi?

That is what I thought, but a code comes up on my phone which has to be put into the router and I cannot see any way of doing this, the router password is actually in the phone

The SSID (station name) will be found by the phone for identifying the router but not the password, unless it had been connected before but then it would only appear as a set of dots.
On most phones you click on the SSID and it will then ask you for the password, which on many routers is on the bottom of the router.
This will be the WEP, WPA or Wireless key if it's an O2 Box.
Unless you're trying to connect by WPS but I don't use that for security reasons, in which case you would need to log into the router wireless page to enter the pin or whichever way it works on your router.
