my phone has error messages which will not clear when pressing ok

I am unable to access settings etc. I have tried turning off and on again I have also removed battery. It is an Alcatel pixi 3

Sounds like the operating system has crashed.
You could try a factory reset but you will lose any pictures etc that aren't backed up.

You may need to send the phone off for repair or get another phone
