my nokia lumia 1020 wont turn on

The battery was not dead - and when trying to charge it (just in case it did die), I does not respond. I cannot turn the phone on at all. It is if it has just died. Can anyone help please?

Hi @Anonymous 

Leave it on charge for up to an hour and see if it switches ON on its own. If it doesn't but at least shows the Battery Icon when you press the power button, try a Soft Reset : Press and hold Power + Volume(down) keys until the phone vibrates (about 8-10 seconds). See if that works...

Try a reset by pressing and holding the Volume Down and Power button at the same time until you feel it vibrate then let go. This should reboot the phone.
