yes she'll make calls text and much more and now with "Hey Cortana" I don't even have to touch my phone she's that good!

I've used the feature on my Lumia 520. Pretty neat.

I also use Siri on my iPhone - again it has its uses.

Cortana really comes into her own when connected to my car. As well as the usual voice activated dialing you can also have text messages read out and reply to them with voice too.
Additionally I like the integration with the phone so it learns the things you search for and interest you and you can add reminders to contacts and calendar events too.
