locked myself out of nokia lumia 820

Anonymous
Not applicable

i recently bought a nokia lumia 820 and it has been functioning perfectly. However, i set a security code for the lock screen and have forgotten it completely. I tried several attempts but have now locked myself out for over 200 minutes. I also tried to factory reset the phone with the method : hold down camera, power button and volume down then let go of power button but still so luck there. Anyone able to help?

Factory reset is the only way to remove the lock code. Did you do it correctly? To perform a hard reset, press the Volume Down, Camera and Power buttons at the same time. Hold all three buttons down until the phone vibrates then release power button and hold volume down and camera for a further five seconds.

It looks like you will have to wait for the time out before you can perform the reset, yes, unfortunately 😞
