I spoke to a customer service advisor and explained .
They said yes it is o2 but they cannot give me the code as the original person needs to. I asked the seller from ebay and he wasnt the original owner just brought it and sold it on. My question is why cant o2 provide me with the unlock code. I am willing to pay if need be.

The thing is if you bought the phone from Ebay it could have been reported stolen or lost and been barred for insurance purposes You need to check out the IMEI number with checkmend. This will let you know if there was any bar activity on the phone..

Make a few calls so that the IMEI of the phone is registered with the sim, then use the form.
