I have just recently brought this phone from ebay. I am currently an o2 pay monthly customer i would like the sim unlock code. I have filled out the form and had the reply. Its wasnt on o2 phone.
I spoke to a customer service advisor and explained .
They said yes it is o2 but they cannot give me the code as the original person needs to. I asked the seller from ebay and he wasnt the original owner just brought it and sold it on. My question is why cant o2 provide me with the unlock code. I am willing to pay if need be.

It shouldn't make any difference as long as you are using the phone with your O2 sim card.
It's free on contract or £15 on PAYG.

The thing is if you bought the phone from Ebay it could have been reported stolen or lost and been barred for insurance purposes You need to check out the IMEI number with checkmend. This will let you know if there was any bar activity on the phone..

Yes, exactly.

You have to use the phone on the O2 network first.

Make a few calls so that the IMEI of the phone is registered with the sim, then use the form.

Hello I have just finished my contract and have requested the network unlock code I was told I had to go to amazon. I rang amazon who told me that they cannot provide the unlock code as it was brought before April 1st this year. And that o2 must give me the code. Could you help and explain why o2 won't give it me please
