I'm really eager to hear how everyone finds the update, so once you're up-to-date, share your thoughts with everyone

Because i have the DP of 8.1 installed on my 1520. When the updates is released will I still get the notification?
As I understand it, No, you will have to go back to your previous firmware to get the OTA updates.
Only if you've got bitlocker encryption enabled it appears. Otherwise it should start picking up (but different people report different things).

OK - thoughts now I have had a play...
I have set mine up to access the internet sharing and bluetooth rather than flight mode - but thats just me. Loving that I can see what just made my phone ping.
Finding the right photo was hard and not all tiles are transparent these days but I have got it set how I want it with the 6 icon wide set up - much better too as I can also have photos and calendar on wide.
Sounds and notifications:
Hurrah! Some apps have been silenced or de-vibrated! All hail the new peace and quiet that I no longer have facebook pinging but I still get a little notification in the bar.
I can see how strong the signal is for my wifi - that is useful. Also I can see what is sending or receiving data - is it the phone or the wifi?
Absolutely superb - the only other thing to know is it does re-download all your apps after doing the update, so it can take a little while to complete.

Out of interest (as I dont currently use a Windows phone) which apps were annoying when they vibrated or made noise?
