The past few days at the top of my phone it is showing WiFi and 4g at the same time.. it has never done this before. So is it using both my data and connecting to WiFi??

The 4G is usually greyed out, unless you have a phone that is using WiFi assist, where the phone will use the Mobile network when it detects an issue with WiFi
